2:00 → 6:30 pm — Watamu → Marafa → Watamu
African roads and sunset on the rocks
Departure at 2:00 pm from your resort. We pick you up directly from the resort with car and driver, heading towards Kenya's largest canyon. We take the road to Malindi up to the turn-off for Marafa; from there the road is completely unpaved — the typical African road. We'll cross many villages before reaching the canyon after about 1 hour.
- Visit to the canyon: history and legends about its origin
- A long walk on foot among the canyon gorges
- Return to the starting point around sunset time
- Sunset: the red rocks glow in the sunlight
- Tip: bring something for the children in the villages you pass through
- Around 6:30 pm we set off back to the resort in time for dinner
